When a customer on my Etsy shop requested playmats explicitly designed for the new Altered TCG, I knew I had to do something. I enjoy designing playmats, and creating something tailored to this game sounded like a fun challenge.
I created two options: a single-player mat at 24" x 13" and a two-player mat at 30" x 24". The goal was to make something that looks good and fits the gameplay needs of Altered TCG players. I spent a few days tweaking the design, ensuring everything lined up perfectly with how the game was played.
I always appreciate customer feedback because it helps me prioritize what to work on next. This time, it led to a pretty quick turnaround. The two-player mat was a bit of a beast to design, but I think it turned out great—plenty of space for both players without crowding the table.
Seeing a project go from concept to finished product is always satisfying, especially when the community requests it. I'm happy with how these turned out, and I hope they'll add to the game's enjoyment for those who use them.
